1. What sharing a find means
Sharing is off by default. If you turn it on in Settings, then each time you finish a scan, Buck submits the cropped photo of the item, its name, the estimated value shown, and a randomly assigned display handle. Other people using Buck can then see that entry, and the photo is served from a public web address.
Treat anything you share as public. Photograph the coin or banknote and nothing else. Keep faces, hands you can be identified by, documents, addresses, screens, cards, and anything else private out of the frame. You can turn sharing off again at any time.
2. What belongs in the feed
- Photos of coins, banknotes, tokens, and similar collectible currency that you actually own or actually found.
- Clear, honest images. A real photo of a real item.
- That's it. The feed is only for finds.
3. What is never allowed
We have no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. Do not submit anything that:
- is sexual, pornographic, nude, or sexually suggestive;
- is hateful, harassing, threatening, violent, or targets anyone based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, or age;
- is defamatory, bullying, or intended to humiliate someone;
- shows an identifiable person who has not agreed to appear;
- contains anyone's personal or financial information: ID documents, payment cards, account numbers, addresses, phone numbers, or private messages;
- infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, or other rights, including photos you did not take;
- promotes counterfeiting, forgery, the sale of stolen items, fraud, or any illegal activity;
- is a deliberately fake or misleading find, a fabricated value, or an attempt to manipulate the feed;
- is spam, advertising, a solicitation, a link, or anything unrelated to a coin or banknote;
- is illegal anywhere it would be seen.
Do not attempt to evade a block or a removal, and do not use the feed to contact, follow, or target another person.
4. How to report content
Every item in the community feed has a Report control. Tap the item, then tap Report, and tell us what is wrong with it. Reporting is anonymous to the person who posted.
You can also report from outside the app by emailing report@getbuckapp.com. Please include a screenshot and, if you can, the time you saw it.
5. How to block someone
Every item in the feed also has a Block control. Blocking takes effect immediately: you will not see anything from that person again, in the feed or anywhere else in the app. Blocking is private, and the person is not told. You can review and undo blocks in Settings.
6. What we do about reports
- Before anything is published: every submission is screened by automated filtering. Anything the filter flags is withheld from the feed and reviewed by a person before it can appear.
- When you report something: we review it and act within 24 hours.
- If it breaks these guidelines: we remove it. Depending on how serious it is, we also permanently block the device that submitted it from posting.
- For anything illegal: we remove it immediately, block permanently, and report it to the relevant authorities where we are required or it is appropriate to do so.
We may remove content, refuse a submission, or block a device at our discretion and without notice. We are not obliged to publish anything.
7. Removing your own posts
Turn sharing off in Settings to stop submitting new finds. To have finds you have already shared taken down, write to privacy@getbuckapp.com from any address and say so. We do not need to know who you are to honour it, but telling us roughly when and what you shared helps us find it. See our Privacy Policy for your full rights.
8. Appeals
If we removed something of yours or blocked you and you think we got it wrong, email support@getbuckapp.com and explain. A person will look at it again and reply.
